About Me: Rich Wehringer, PGA
Why I Film Golf Trips
Most bucket-list golf trips end with a few blurry photos and memories that fade. I wanted to fix that. I film golf trips like movies—capturing every shot, laugh, view, and voice—so you can press play and feel it all again, any time you want.
How I Got Here
I’ve spent over a decade inside the game as a Class A PGA Professional, working at top clubs including The Country Club (Brookline), Congressional, Shooting Star (Jackson, WY), and Sunset Ridge outside Chicago. Being on the inside taught me what golfers value most: the experience with their people. Filmmaking became my way to honor that—turning milestone rounds into keepsakes that actually last.
What I Bring To Your Trip
A PGA professional’s eye for etiquette, pace, positioning, and storytelling on course.
A filmmaker’s craft—composition, motion, sound, and pacing that feels cinematic.
Service and discretion—I stay out of your way while I capture the moments you’ll want later.
A calm operator—I understand golf flow, group dynamics, and when not to press record.
My Approach (Simple, Unobtrusive, Cinematic)
Before the trip: We align on rounds, group dynamics, and any moments you care about (first tee traditions, caddie banter, dinner, etc.).
On course: I move quietly, anticipate shots, capture reactions and atmosphere, and get aerials when conditions allow.
In the edit: I build a film with rhythm and emotion—plus short highlights you can share.
The Craft & Tools
Professional cinema camera, DJI drone for aerials, wireless audio for real voices, stabilizers for buttery motion, and a color pipeline designed for rich, timeless images. The gear matters—but the goal is simple: make your trip feel the way it felt.
What This Means For You
You’ve invested months planning and thousands traveling. For a fraction of that cost, you can keep the experience forever—properly. Not just a camera roll. A film.
Where I Work
Based in Chicago. Available for destination trips across the U.S. and select international venues. Limited bookings each season to keep quality high.
A Personal Note
Golf has given me a career, community, and purpose. Filming these trips is my way of giving something back—so you and your crew have more than a memory. You have a record of it.
